Assessment-Based Roofing Estimating Certificate
The Professional Roofing Estimator Certificate (PREC) is designed for experienced roofing estimators who want to document their existing knowledge through a proficiency exam and practical estimating assignment.
This is an assessment-based certificate program. It does not provide foundational estimating instruction. Candidates should already have practical roofing estimating experience before enrolling.
Certificate Requirements
To earn the PREC certificate, candidates must:
- Complete the program orientation and certificate requirements
- Achieve a score of 78% or higher on the proficiency exam
- Complete the required practical roofing estimate
- Submit the estimate and required materials for review

Who This Program Is For

Prior completion of a Cotney Consulting Group estimating course is not required. Candidates must have enough roofing estimating experience to complete the exam and practical estimate independently.
Certificate Award
Candidates who meet the 78% exam requirement and successfully complete the practical estimate and submission requirements will receive the Professional Roofing Estimator Certificate from Cotney Consulting Group.
